Law For The Layman

JUPITER LAW CENTER has hosted a series of six (6) lectures entitled Law for the Layman on general interest law topics at the Adult Division of Jupiter Community High School’s Night School since 1992. Law for the Layman is a FREE program (except for the nominal $10.00 administrative fee charged by the school) offered to Small Business Owners and others in the community seeking an easy to understand presentation of everyday legal matters. The series covers a wide range of topics of practical importance and interest, including:

Students Who Complete This Course Should Be Able To:

  • identify, navigate and/or avoid situations before they become problems
  • understand legal terms and one’s rights & obligations
  • recognize pitfalls of the “SMALL PRINT”
  • reduce one’s exposure and liability
  • make more informed decisions
