BENJAMIN L. HEYDLAUFF, Attorney

Benjamin L. Heydlauff enjoyed a fulfilling first career in Human Resources. He earned his undergraduate degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix in 2000 and continued his professional education through various organizations affiliated with and through the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). During his tenure in Human Resources, Ben worked as an HR Generalist and Benefits Specialist in both the government and the private sector, administering HR functions for organizations from 100 to over 100,000 employees, including PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens. After being bitten by the law bug, he attended and graduated from faith-based Regent University School of Law located in Virginia Beach, Virginia in 2017. He is a member of the Florida Bar and the American Bar Association (ABA).

Ben’s legal fervor sprang from navigating the Courts as a foster/then adoptive parent in the states of California and Florida.  He also has the unique distinction of being adopted twice in his own lifetime – once as an infant and once as an adult. He brings empathy to those parents looking to form their “forever” family through a process that isn’t always cooperative or supportive of their wishes. As a former lay person who participated in a lengthy adoption process, he realizes that the judicial system can be daunting to those unfamiliar with it – and he works with clients to provide a coherent path forward for those who need guidance in the areas of Estate Planning and Family Law.

Previously familiar with JUPITER LAW CENTER as a client, Ben gravitated to the firm because of the shared culture of humanity, trustworthiness and sense of duty.  He interned at the firm in 2018 while studying for the Bar and served as a full-time legal assistant prior to passing the Bar and being sworn in as an attorney in May 2019.  Residing in Palm Beach Gardens with his wife Bernarda and three children – a son, Benjamin and twin daughters, Beylee and Bella – he enjoys all that the area has to offer. When not “lawyering”, enjoys spending quality time with his wife, skateboarding at local parks with his son and splashing in the pool with his daughters.
