EMILY C. MITCHELL, Legal Intern

Emily C. Mitchell created her own opportunity with JUPITER LAW CENTER. A student at the University of South Florida with a major in Professional and Technical Communications and a minor in Legal Studies, Emily cold-called the firm seeking an internship in the summer of 2021. Her spunky “can do” attitude, eye for detail, editing skills and ability to master the firm’s database program quickly made her an asset to the firm, and she remains a valued member of the team, even as she continues her schooling.

Emily is on the Pre-Law track and plans to attend Law School. During her time at the firm, Emily has drafted various Newsletters and other marketing materials, organized and coded documents, assisted with social media and is learning valuable lessons about the critical role law plays in clients’ lives, confirming the strong passion she has for the law.

Emily is also active in college as a USF Ambassador. The Ambassador program bridges the gap between students and Alumni and Emily acts as a student representative of USF at donor events and with the University President and holds two chair positions: Marketing/Communications and Media. She is also in the T.E.A.M. program as a mentor for transfer students.

Emily was born in St. Petersburg, Russia. She grew up in Darien, Illinois and moved to Jupiter with her mother, brother and grandparents and when not studying enjoys spending quality time with her family.
